Women's Voice in Agriculture - 2025 Elaine van Eeden
Elaine van Eeden, has been working in wheat breeding and research for the past 28 years. She lives and mainly works in the Bethlehem region. According to her, wheat is a beautiful crop and being part of the value chain that puts quality bread on the table for many. She lives on a farm and loves gardening and plants and if you wish to identify a tree you can just rely on her knowledge. Because women play such an important role putting bread on the table in many ways, she would like to express her appreciation to all the women who work hard to feed their families and communities. She has a particular appreciation for the women that works with her on a daily basis on the research farm in the greenhouse.
